As befits a College with a strong academic record, the College has developed exciting plans for a new court. Rick Mather Architects (best known perhaps for their acclaimed work on the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford) have designed a state-of-the-art building that will house a library, seminar rooms and an exhibition space. The new court will be completed by a glassed-over area which will operate as a cafe during the day, providing a space for students, Fellows and support staff to meet. The space will be used for open days for prospective students, for exhibitions, receptions and music recitals, providing a much-needed centrally located area.
Proposed New Development
Planning permission has been obtained and we are seeking to raise the £16m necessary to complete the project. We can offer attractive naming opportunities for significant donations.
The feasibility study by Rick Mather Architects is available here. There is also an article in the 2010 edition of The Magazine, beginning on page 17.
For further information about the project, please contact Catherine Twilley, Development Director.
