To thank those that have been generous enough to entrust the College with a gift in their Will, in 2012 we set up the Christ's College Fisher Society; a way of recognising the decision to leave a Legacy, and celebrating the future impact it will have for the College. Everyone who informs the College about a Legacy to Christ's is eligible to become a member, and there are no obligations implicit in joining.
As a member of the Fisher Society, you will be invited to an annual lunch at the College in November. Additionally, your name will be included in our Donor Report, and you will receive a silver pin badge of the College Crest.
Christ's College Fisher Society was named after Bishop John Fisher, confessor to Lady Margaret Beaufort and a proctor at Cambridge in the late 15th and early 16th Centuries. Instrumental in encouraging Lady Margaret to found Christ's, as well as being a major benefactor in his own right, the Society was named to commemorate his integral role in the College's early life.
