Chloe Cliff

Hi, I'm Chloe, a second-year Medic at Christ's. Christ's is a wonderful college, with both a rich and fascinating history and a wonderful friendly and supportive student community. I love studying here, and want to help raise money so that aspiring students who could not otherwise afford it have a chance to experience this fantastic place!!

Laura Helen Cook

I'm Laura, I'm a first-year MML (French and Spanish) student and I particularly love the friendly, welcoming atmosphere which Christ's is so famous for. Outside of academic life, I'm usually found on the athletics track, in the gym or on the hockey pitches. I also enjoy spending time at CU meetings, college chapel and a local church in Cambridge which I joined during my first term.

Thomas Cruickshank

I'm Tom and I'm a second-year philosophy student. When I'm not philosophizing (or attempting to) I'm part of Christ's Christian Union and enjoy playing guitar. Because Christ's is a beautiful college with a tight-knit community feel, it lends itself to both work and play, making the great time I've had at uni so far that extra bit better.

Benedict Daley

I am a third-year historian at Christ's hoping to extend my time here by means of an MPhil next year. I am a keen sportsman, involved in the college's football, rugby and Marguerites Clubs, and this is indicative of the college's importance to me, as it provides an environment and community which extends far beyond the academic. This is a place from which students leave better and more rounded people as a consequence of the diverse different facets of college life which Christ's fosters, and the variety of people studying here. For my part, a connection to this college and its people will remain an enduring experience throughout my life as a positive and nurturing influence, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to study here.

Joseph Duluc

Hi! I’m Joseph, a second-year political science student. Here at Christ’s, I’m involved in the college drama society and in the JCR Welfare Committee. It’s very exciting to take part in the Telephone Campaign for the second time, I love finding out more about the college and the
community we’re all part of.

Barnaby Fidler

Hi, I'm Barney and I'm a first-year Natural Scientist. At the moment I study Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, however next year I hope to specialise in Physics and Maths. In my spare time I enjoy playing rugby and have recently been elected onto the committee for the college rugby club. Other than this I also enjoy acting and during lent term I have performed in the Christ's Amateur Dramatics freshers' play. The support the college can offer due to fundraising like the telephone campaign is amazing and I look forward to becoming a part of this process.

Ryan Frost

I am a fourth-year Modern and Medieval Languages student from Suffolk. I'm the first person from my family to study at university, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Christ's is one of the friendliest places in which to study. Everyone is very welcoming and there is so much to do - my highlight is probably acting in a couple of student pantos!

Greg Harker

Hi there, my name's Greg, and I'm a second year Physics Student at Christ's. I enjoy reading, puzzles and am involved with some of the performing that goes on at the college in CADS. Christ's is really a home away from home for me, where I have the freedom to balance my work and my life as I need to.

Amy Pike

I'm in my third year studying English at Christ's and also my third year as a caller on this campaign. I'm really glad to be involved in raising money for the valuable student support that college offers. It was thanks to a travel grant that I was able to spend this last summer volunteering as an English teacher in India.

Arianna Rabin

I am a first year Art Historian from London, and despite only being at Christ's since October I feel like it's been much longer than that! The friendly and hard-working atmosphere here have helped me have a wonderful first two terms.

Pia Rennert

I'm a second-year economist with a particular interest in economic development. Very quickly Christ’s has become a second home to me thanks to the welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. I particularly appreciate the friendly relationship amongst the members of College.

Duncan Scott

I’m studying chemistry and am now in my fourth year at Christ’s. In my time here, I have really enjoyed the familial atmosphere around college and the opportunities we have at Christ’s to mix with students from all year groups and backgrounds. Christ’s has done so much for my development, academically, socially and in sport, and, contrary to my expectations, has allowed me to really enjoy my time at a university renowned for academic excellence above all else.

Joseph Smith

I'm a second year Natural Scientist studying Chemistry, Biochemistry and Plant Sciences. This is my second year on the campaign - I talked to some interesting people last year and it helped me find out a lot about the College's history. Christ's has been great to me and thoroughly enjoyed first-year (so much that I came back for a second) and excited to give something back again.

Sophie Taylor

I'm Sophie and I'm a first year HSPS student, studying Politics, International Relations, Sociology and Social Anthropology. I've had an amazing first two terms at Christ's, I love using the squash court and have been in a couple plays outside college. Christ's is definitely the best college because of the ridiculously good central location and because of how laid-back and friendly everyone is, which makes living and working here so amazing given the hectic Cambridge lifestyle!

Damian Walsh

I am a first-year English student from Oxford. Aside from being a beautiful place to call home, Christ's is important to me because of CADS, the college's Amateur Dramatics Society – I have taken every opportunity to act in their plays. The hugely supportive atmosphere here has helped me to settle in well.

Leah Wild

I'm Leah and I study Classics here at Christ's. As a fresher, I am still new to the Christ's atmosphere, but the college has rapidly begun to feel like home. I knew from my first induction day here that this was the college that I wanted to go to, and being here has only confirmed that choice. I've really made friends for life and I'm looking forward to the years to come.
